She was a member of Cove Baptist Church in Fairdale, KY.
Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Dale Hodge Jr., and her parents, J.T. and Sue Anna Sparrow.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Reverend Roger Hodge (Monica), siblings, Betty Snider and Reverend Thomas David Sparrow (Wanda), grandchildren, Stephanie Hodge and Matthew Hodge. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Doris’ life will be conducted at 12noon on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8pm on Friday, March 4, 2016 and after 9am the day of the funeral.
