Doris Jane Farley Kenealy, 93, returned home to her savior Sunday, April 5. The daughter of Lewis and Myrtle Farley, she was a Louisville native and a graduate of Shawnee High School. Doris worked for the telephone company and Louisville Police Department before she married her husband of 48 years, Charles Edward, who proceeded her in death. Together, Doris and her husband established a successful family business and raised three children who survive her: Tracie Taylor (John), Beth Vandenbark (Wess), and Alex Kenealy (Joe Hagan). She was a grandmother of four and a great grandmother of seven. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and her beloved sister and best friend, Ann Carlton.
In life, Doris was known for her dedication to family and friends, her feisty attitude, and her immense pride in maintaining a meticulous home. She loved to dance, to laugh, and to help others in need.
Doris will be laid to rest along side of her husband and parents in a private family service at Resthaven Cemetery at a later date.
