

Lillie Doris Moffett Klink, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Baptist Hospital East. Doris was born on February 11,1934, in Shelbyville, Kentucky to parents Ora Kathryn Slucher and “Cody” Owen Benjamin Moffett.
Doris is survived by her children Mike Klein (Karen), Kathy Klein, step-son Gary Klink (Judy), step daughters Sherry Welch (Bill), Carol Patterson (Mark). Her grandchildren Aaron Klein, Brooke Stafford, Megan Huber, Ryan Klink, Lindsey Whorton, Taylor Huffaker, and great-grandchildren Caroline Stafford, Oakley Klein, and Hunter Stafford.
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband Earl Klink and her parents.
Doris was a graduate of Eastern High School class of 1952 where she was a member of the Good News Club and remembered several teachers to be her favorites. A memorable time while at Eastern was in 1951 when in a terrible car accident and placed in a body cast for three months, the football coach (girlfriends envious) came to her home three times a week for tutoring. Doris and Earl Klink would have celebrated forty-five years of marriage on August 24, 2023. They had many wonderful years together while enjoying living on the Ohio river where they loved to go on boating excursions up/down the Ohio. They retired to Sarasota, Florida where they became involved in their church and community in which they lived. They moved back to Louisville, Ky in 2020 to be closer to family. Doris Klink will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will live on through the cherished moments shared with loved ones.
A funeral service will be held to honor Doris's life and legacy Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218.
Visitation 9:00-10:00am. with a service to follow 10:00-11:00a.m. All those in attendance are invited to come share in the celebration of Doris’s life, details will be shared at time of service.
