Doris Jane Schott Miles, 82 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and senior’s club, a lifetime member of the Lou. Boston Terrier club and the Lou. Boxer club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Robert Schott, brothers, Robert, Dennis and Stuart and a grand-daughter, M’Lynn Miles.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, George Oscar Miles. Children, Connie R. Sutton (Isadore Sr.), Gordon S. Miles, Bruce Miles, George Steven Miles (Karen), Karen Cawthon (Ben), Mark Miles (Cheryle), sister, Kathryn Potts, brothers, Ronald Schott (Jean) and William E. Schott Sr. (Kathy), sisters, Diana Thrasher (Alvie) and Judy Gates (Wayne), sister-in-law, Rebecca Miles,SCN and brother-in-law, Herman Miles (Barbara). Doris is also survived by her eleven grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Doris’ life will be conducted 10 am Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40222-5413 with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 3-8pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 in the Heritage room of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
