She was the daughter of Louis and Anna May Lasley. Dorothy worked at the old Dravers Shoe Store on Preston Street for over 23 years. She also worked for Boone Office Supply in Mid City Mall.
Dorothy has one daughter, Robin Lasley, and two grandsons, Corey and Dylan Lasley. She didn’t get married until she was 70 years old to James Badgett, who she met at Parents Without Partners at #129. Dorothy is also survived by her brother, Randall Lasley; step children, James and Brian Badgett, and Brittney Brown. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna Lasley, a brother, sister, and in-laws, Marcia Lasley Gosling, Omar Gosling, V.J. Lasley and Glenda Lasley.
A visitation will be held from 3-8pm on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Heady-Cralle Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 19, 2020 with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
