Dorothy "Dot" Marie Wright, 84, of Louisville, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, September 24, 2011, with her loving family by her side. She was the former Dorothy Calhoun and a native of Somerset, KY. Dorothy was the credit manager for 28 years for the old Levy Brothers store. She loved gardening and spent countless hours tending to her gardens and roses.
She was a beautiful, caring woman who spent her life loving and helping others. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 64 years, Bronston R. Wright; daughter, Deborah Irwin;
granddaughter, Kristen Downs; along with several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy's Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
