She is preceded in death by her parents; James and Shirley Hunter, and her husband, Gene Freeman.
She is survived by her children; Larry Freeman and wife Sally, Garry Freeman and wife Shelia, Sherry Spears and husband Norman, Randall Freeman and Warren Freeman, sisters; Phyllis Curtsinger and Modeen Burke. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017 and after 9am the day of the funeral.
