Dorothy V. Hess, 100, was born on July 30, 1922 in Edmonson Co., KY to the late Willie and Maymie (Coats) Adwell and passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2023. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Hess. Left to cherish her memory are her son. Donald R. Hess; grandchildren, Melanie Bray, Jessica Hess, and Stephen Hess; great grandchildren, Haley Bray, Emily Bray, and Sierah "Oskar" Jones; and several nieces and nephews including Darrell Adwell who cared for her. Funeral service for Mrs. Hess will be held at noon on Friday June 16, 2023 in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will also be on Friday after 10 am.
