Dorothy Marie Sirles

Dorothy married Jim in 1949 and started our family. For 67 yrs. she has been the center of our family. She has mothered and grand mothered,

nurtured and loved all of us. She taught us all to be loyal and faithful to the Lord and each other. She was a devoted and tireless caregiver to Jim even in her own failing health. We all will be sad we will not be able to sit and have a fabulous Sunday dinner or a cup of tea and a cookie with her, the overwhelming feeling we all have is of gratitude. We are grateful to God, he gave her to us. What a wonderful gift!

Dorothy is survived by, children; Linda Pike(Dick), Randy Sirles(Dianne), Melissa Winters(Tim), several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sister; Patsy Ackerman, and brother Norman Sanders.

Dorothy’s family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care and support by the staff at Wesley Manor Memory Care.

Her funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Okolona Presbyterian Church, 8105 Shepherdsville Rd. with burial to follow at Penn Runn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until time of the service.
