Dorothy Violet Williams Velten, 93, of Louisville was born on August 18, 1921 in Ross-on-Wye, England to the late Thomas and Lillian Williams. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Mooney Velten Sr.;a grandson, David Velten; and brothers and sisters, Fran, Jean, Margie, Trevor and Geoff.
She is survived by her two sons, John Mooney Velten Jr. (Cynthia) and Thomas Lee Velten; grandchildren, Trey Higgins (Kerry), Marcus Higgins, DMD, Erik Velten (Jessica) and Trevor Velten; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Jackson McKinley and Hartley Higgins, Logan Rice, Natalie, Emma, Claire, and Blake Velten; sisters, Kay Archer and Josie Pembridge.
A visitation to celebrate her life will be conducted Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 12-1 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with inurnment in Cave Hill Cemetery.
