Jean Wilson 85 returned to her Heavenly Father on July 23. It was fitting that she worked as a teacher for many years at St Gabriel where she taught scores of 4th graders. However, she taught much more outside the classroom.
She taught her family the meaning of that word and to her neighbors, friends, and strangers alike the meaning of kindness and true friendship.
She was a graduate of Presentation Academy, attended The University of Kentucky and remained a lifelong fan.
Her husband Charlie preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children Doug (Sherry), Dave (Marie), Nancy (Reggie), and Laurie (Jim). Her great joy were her 11 grandchildren whom she worshiped and spoiled everyday but particularly at decades of memorable Christmas’s.
Words cannot express her impact on us all.
The family would also like to acknowledge her companion and caregiver Jackie Saltkill who helped us all through a difficult road and the staff at Forest Springs.
Visitation is Friday July 27th from 3pm to 8pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road. Catholic Mass at St Gabriel’s on Saturday July 28th at 10am with internment to follow.
