Winfield, Dorothy S., 85, entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2016. Dorothy was a loving and caring woman who was very family oriented. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and gathering for the holidays. Dorothy retired from Jefferson County District Probate Court, was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and was an active member of the Democratic Women’s Club of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Winfield.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara Hollenbeck (Fred), Debbie Corder, Gail Burns, Leonard Winfield, Joseph Winfield, and Karen Hudson (Gary); 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and siblings, Martha Stevens, Kenneth Sisson, and Betty Jane Brown.
A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3926 Poplar Level Rd. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
