Douglas Louis Beck

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Beck; mother, Helen Beck; daughter, Celena Beck, all of Louisville; and his brother, Michael Beck of Winchester, KY. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Stella Johnson Beck. They shared 53 years of love and devotion. He also leaves his sister, Suzanne Beck Siegel(Chuck); and Nicole Collins, a past foster child and sister of his deceased daughter, Celena.

Doug was a 1970 graduate of Georgetown College. He was a former teacher at JCPS (Southern High School), and also worked as a sales representative for Superior Paper before returning to JCPS as a substitute teacher for many years.

He will be missed by his family of friends at South Louisville Campus of Southeast Christian Church. Doug will always be remembered for his smile and jovial attitude and his joy of sharing Christian love to everyone he met.

Funeral service will be 2pm Friday, January 29, 2021 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-2pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Doug's memory can be made to South Louisville Christian Church, a campus of Southeast Christian Church.
