Duane D. Shaw, 84, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #89 Union, a jockey, a member of the Moose Lodge, and the Rat Racers, was a Navy Veteran, held a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a marathon runner.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Tinslarae Shaw, a son, Robert Shaw, brother, William Shaw and a granddaughter, Traci Shaw.
Duane is survived by his children, Marsha Rice Hubler (Ed), Tony Shaw, Michael Shaw and Rhonda Kihnley (Gary). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Duane’s life will be conducted at 5pm, Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with visitation starting after 12 noon Saturday, until service time. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
