Earl Franklin Bache, 84, was reunited on April 17, 2015 with his parents Kenneth and Eddie Bache, brother Carl, and son Ben. He was a devoted family man, proud Marine “Semper Fi”, Disney and Louisville Cardinals #1 fan and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara, children; Ann, Karen, Teri, Rick and Cheryl, grandchildren; Brent (April), Tara (Tonya), Devin (Ronnie), Sydney (Mitchell), Noah, Alex, Ian, Julia, Brandon, Brian (Amanda), Jimmy (Julie), Sara and Crystina, great-grandchildren; Kalyn, Brenden, Blake, Kennedy, Abby, Cameron and Natalie. Earl considered neighbors as family, especially his adopted son Mike “may his garage door always be open”.
Words cannot express the family’s gratitude to University Louisville Hospital staff at all levels of care. The love and support shown was felt not only by Earl but the entire family and for that the staff will always have a special place in their hearts. A heartfelt thank you to Erin, Hosparus RN, for all her guidance during his stay at home.
Words cannot express the family’s appreciation to Dr. Rodrigo Cavallazzi. They are requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations to American Lung Association ALS walk or Kosair Charities in his name. Rodrigo, thank you, for being our “Rock” through this journey.
To honor Earl’s wishes, the family will have a private Celebration of Life service. Earl, “you are missing from us, but we find comfort that you are where your lawnmower always starts”.
