He was an antique dealer and owner of Eddie's Auction House. He was quite the jokester, stubborn sometimes, but a man who loved his family and was the "best" husband and dad in the whole world. He had a generous, warm spirit about him. Those that knew him knew he liked to sing, country mostly, and he always seemed to start his day with a song.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie L. House, and parents, Edmond and Mary Margaret Wilson House, along with a nephew, James Coulter, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving, devoted wife of 33 years, Phyllis Miller House; and a son, Bobby D. (Andria) House; brother, Kenny House (Kathy); sisters, Ruth Pearl Hilbert and Charlotte Sue Blacklock; grandsons, Christian McKay Bowman and Brennan Miller House; half-brother, Michael House (Norma), and half-sister, Karen House; and the "best father-in-law" in the world, Oscar Miller. Also surviving is his dearest and loving friend, Ann Marie Hatcher; nieces and nephews, Ken, Rebeka, Lovine, Jennifer and Ricky, and numerous great nieces and nephews, and other extended family, friends and neighbors.
The Celebration of Life service for Eddie will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2:30 -8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. till service time.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Robin Gramig and the staff at the Hospice Pavilion for all of their love, support and wonderful care that was given to Eddie and the family during this difficult time.
