Edith Wilder Cheppo, 91 of Louisville, passed away peacefully Monday, August 31, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 8, 1934, to the late Wesley C. Schickli and Edith Wilder Schickli.
Edith obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville and was a proud member of the Signma Kappa Sorority.
She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her crafts. She hand quilted over 30 special quilts for family and friends. Her family was always her biggest priority.
In addition to her parents, Edith is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years: Mario Steven Cheppo and her son: Michael Lawrence Cheppo.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Elaine Das-Cheppo (Peter), Caryn Cheppo-Najjar (Larry), Stephen Cheppo (Lori), and Dianne Cheppo; her grandchildren: Jimmy (Katie), Kathryn (Harry), Chris (Michaela), Yvonne, Paul (Yvon), Michael (Johnni), and Nicolas; her great-grandchildren Henry, Rupert, Ava, Jud, Bailey, Mabel, and Florence; her sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
Edith will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arch L Heady at Resthaven have been entrusted with arrangements.
