Edith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a spirit of adventure and wonderful sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Harry N. Cooke Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Harry N. Cooke Jr. (Jo Ellen Peers), Mary Ann Martin (Raymond), and Danny Cooke (Gale); grandchildren, Sandy, Charles, Brian, Shaun, Ashley and Jaclynn; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Abigail, Rachel, and Ruby.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 3pm-7pm. Burial will take place after the funeral service in Grove Hill Cemetery, 458 Mt. Eden Rd. Shelbyville, KY 40065.
