Edith was born in Liverpool, England in 1932. She was very loved and will be terribly missed.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, Lester M. Nichols; and her son Michael Earnest Metzger.
Left to cherish Edith’s memory are her children, Karen Compretta, Steven Swain Scalf (Darla); grandchildren, Haley Compretta Mencias (Juan Carlos), Sean Scalf (Amy), Sebastian Scalf, Sabrina Scalf, Melissa Scalf, Nichole Scalf, Stephen Scalf, Josh Metzger ; great-grandchildren, Gisele, Marley, Malachi, Ezekiel, and Emery; daughter-in-law, Vicki Lynne Metzger; nephews, John Nolan (Cathy), Mark Jewell (Martha).
A service to celebrate Edith’s life will take place on Wednesday, March 6, at 2 PM, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Guests will be invited to attend visitation on Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of Service at 2 PM. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park following the service.
