Edith Weakley

WEAKLEY, EDITH, 91, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at Britthaven. She worked for the Jefferson County Board of Education, worked for Russ Gailor Realtors for 12 years and a 45-year member of the Cloverleaf Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Martha Jones; two husbands, Arlie Jones and Carl Weakley; two granddaughters, Melanie and Kelly Johns; brother, Odus Jones and a sister, Loretta Keller. She is survived by a son, Dexter Jones (Joanne); three daughters, Joyce Elble (Paul), Janeen Gailor and Janet Sue Johns; brother, Herman Jones; grandchildren, Annette Doss (Troy), Tony Elble, Todd Elble (Karen), Teresa Ater (Alan), Rusty Gailor (Teresa), Tommy Lee Gailor (Penny), Tracey Fey (Jimmy), Scott Johns and Brian Johns; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A celebration of Edith's life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, then she will be transported to the Swiss Colony Baptist Church, London, KY, where she was born and there will be another celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Tuesday with interment at the Swiss Colony Baptist Church Cemetery.
