She was a retired cook and was a longtime Clifton resident and member of the Clifton Baptist Church.
Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Sr., son, Alvin Jr., daughter, Sheila Risenberg and good friends, Garland White and Morgan Brown, siblings, Grace Denham, John and Robert Butts.
She is survived by her daughter Glenda Coddington (Newt), brothers, Delbert (Thelma) and Donald Butts, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Edna’s life will be conducted at 10 am, Tuesday March 4, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 2-8 pm Monday March 3, 2014 at the funeral home.
