Edward Lee Geary 84, of Louisville, returned to his heavenly father on May 25, 2015 with his family by his side. Eddie was born December 29, 1930 in Nelson, Kentucky. He retired from the Logan Company after 39 years of service and was also an Army Veteran.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Polly Geary along with his three brothers and seven sisters.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Byrd Geary; children, David (Gale) and Jeff (Mary) Geary; granddaughters, Amanda Rayburn, Karyl Anne Geary and Krystal Lynn (Eugene) Kelly of Ireland and his great-grandsons, Tyler, Jack and River also of Ireland.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the VA Hospital Hospice Team and to his caregiver Jessica and Home Instead for all of their care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday 12 noon at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 pm Thursday.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the donor's favorite charity.
