

Edward Allen Stirneman, known lovingly as “Eddie”, passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on November 10, 1954, to Marshall Pershing Stirneman and Anna Rose Stirneman in Louisville, Kentucky. Eddie was an animal lover, he leaves behind his beloved poodle mix, Scooter. Eddie was an avid sports fan, he followed University of Kentucky, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Baltimore Orioles. He was a very good bowler, having been a part of the Greater GE bowling league and averaging 190. Above all, Eddie loved baseball. He played baseball and softball at one time, representing Our Lady of Sorrows, but his true passion was coaching little league and travel ball. Eddie was the coach of Germantown Little League for 47 years. He poured his heart into his team and was proud to be there for them for every game. Eddie was a great man. He was kind, loving, and always there for his family and his team. He will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Sue Stirneman and his two sisters-in-law, Kathy Stirneman and Linda Stirneman.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Donnie Stirneman and Wayne Stirneman; his nephews, Mark Stirneman (Amy) and Kevin Stirneman (Lisa); his nieces, Marsha Stober (Lisa), Shannon Downs (Bryan), and Karyn Stirneman; along with great nieces, great nephews, his teams, and friends.
A visitation for Eddie will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday July 22, 2026, from 3:00PM to 8:00PM. Visitation will resume the following day in the same location from 10:00AM to 12:00PM with a funeral service to follow beginning at 12:00PM. He will be entombed at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Eddie’s family asks that memorial donations be made in Eddie’s honor to the Germantown Baseball Inc. located at 1537 Poplar Level Rd, Louisville, KY 40217.
