I have so many great memories of Ed and all the Apenbrinck family.  The 1st time I met Ed, Dan had invited me to go deer hunting with him at the farm, Jim had picked me and Dan up  Friday morning 8:00am sharp, we finally made it there after a 6 hr. trip then a long night of beers & cards. I woke up Saturday morning and the 1st person I see is Ed he said who the heck are you? I said well I'm Ace I came with Dan he said he's going to take me out hunting, Ed began laughing & said  go wake him up, well anyway that didn't happen so Ed directed me where to go in the woods & I did, shot a deer and was back in less than 30 minutes I told Ed it's just right over the hill unaware I wasn't even on the property any we got the deer back to the farm with Ed cussing me the whole way there & back it was then that we became best of friends. Ed you are surely going to be missed.  Rest in peace,                                                                                            Ace

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing. Living in St Louis, I had the pleasure of knowing Ed for almost 50 years. I have great memories of my mom and dad and I spending a lot of time with Ed, Michelle, the kids, and the entire Apenbrinck family. Michelle, Melanie, Winsor, Tim and Eddie, the Miller family extends their deepest sympathy to all of you. Rest in peace my dear friend.

What memories, so many of them. All the baseball, football
and soccer games we played at Beaumont High School’s
field. The day you got married, we were all close friends. The night you and Dan picked me up from Union Station. I came home from the army when my father passed away. I’ll never forget that night. We were close we all looked out for each other. Ed was always smiling laughing a real joy to be around. I can’t believe your  gone, I’ll miss you  my friend till we meet again? God bless rest in peace my friend, rest in peace .

Ed was a great friend. He always made it a point to stay connected and for that I’m truly thankful. Our kids played baseball for years together and Ed was one of the favorite coaches. The kids loved him and he loved baseball! Especially the St. Louis Cardinals. I’m going to miss those calls and texts trying to bait me in to betting the Reds vs the Cardinals.

Sending prayers for the Apenbrinck family. Ed was a delightful and always helpful backyard neighbor for many years. I’m sure he and Chuck are having a cold beer and catching up.

Ed, you were a good man. I will always remember you practicing ball with Tim and Eddie for hours on end. You were always quick to mosey over with a couple of cold beers, some conversation and lots of laughs, ready to help with any favor if asked     I have been fortunate to have known you and Michelle since I was in my teens, and we’ve been  neighbors thru most of my life now.  I’ll miss seeing your chair by the garage filled by you as well as  the echo of your laugh from your yard.   Rest well my old friend and God bless Michelle and your boys.

My Uncle Eddie was one of the sweetest men in my life. No matter how long it had been or how much I had changed, he knew exactly who I was and wanted to know how I had been. This means a lot because we have a HUGE family. He will be missed. Love you all!

I am so sorry to hear about Ed’s passing.  When I would hear Gary speak of Ed , I’d always smile. He was one of the nicest men I’ve  ever known.   A ready smile and a bear hug for all.  My memories go back to when our boys played t ball and little league baseball .   Ed was the dad all the kids wanted !  They salivated in anticipation  knowing that Eddies daddy had candy on hand that would rival the concession stand.  He treated every little boy on the team like one of his own.   Uplifting and encouraging words no matter how that bat was swung.  (Or  wasn’t 🙃).

 When be talked about Michelle’s garlic noodles even E.F Hutton had to listen.  

Well done Ed.   You will be missed.  May you rest in peace and enjoy the reunion  with your son!
