

Edwin George Apenbrinck, 84, of Louisville passed away on January 29, 2024. He was born on March 11, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Alois and Florence Apenbrinck. Preceding him in death are his brothers, Jim and Graham “Duke” Apenbrinck, sister Kathryn Mertz, and son Donald Apenbrinck (Rita).
Left to cherish Ed’s memory is his wife of 46 years, Michelle Apenbrinck, children; Melanie Noble (David), Winsor Apenbrinck, Tim Apenbrinck (Emily), and Eddie Apenbrinck (Katie), 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings; Lilian “Sis” Chandler, Janet O’Shea, Robert “Bob” Apenbrinck, Carolyn “Tudy” Wadlow, Dorothy “Dottie” Barresi, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ed was a deep lover of baseball and his favorite team was the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a loving husband, father, as well as adored grandfather and great-grandfather. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him.
A memorial funeral service for Ed will take place on Friday February 9, 2024 at 4pm in the chapel of Arch L Heady & Son Westport Village 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222 with visitation prior from 2pm-4pm.
