Edwin "Salty" C. Holmes, 78, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit surrounded by his loving family. He was retired from General Electric, a member of Summit Heights United Methodist Church, a Past Master of Buechel Lodge #896 F.& A.M., and a member of Scottish Rite and Kosair.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Betty J. Morgan Holmes; daughters, Debbie (Al) Barnett and Dana (Pete) Laguens; grandsons, Christopher (Sarah) Haberman and McKay Barnett.
A Life Celebration Service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Scottish Rite service at 7 p.m. and Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
