Eldridge A. "Ed" Cox, 69, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was a self employed brick layer and a Christian by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter L. and Cora Herron Cox.
Left cherishing his memory is his loving wife of 11 years, Brenda Hardesty Cox; children, Missy (Scott) Millar, Kimberly (Scott) Childress, Tina (Mike) Stelogeannis, Darrell (Lori) Cox; step-children, Stephen Ball, Blake and Amber Stevens; sisters, Sylvia (Carson) Combs, Mildred (Ode) Shoffner, Wanda (Roger) Dillanger; brother, Kenneth (Inez) Cox, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Papaw and Grandpa Ed.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from noon -8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
