Eleanor Elois Kiefer Thurman Haeberlin 90 of Crescent Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her home with her loving children beside her. She was a member of James Lees Memorial Presbyterian Church, an honorary member of American Turners, and U.C.H.M. volunteer. She was a loving and devoted mother, and wife. She loved children, animals, and her church. We will miss her greatly. We are grateful that she had a long and fulfilling life. She has gone home, to her creator, and to those before her, in heaven.
She was preceded in death by husbands; Gage T. Thurman Sr., and Arthur E. Haeberlin Sr., son; A. Brent Haeberlin, grandson; Joseph Blake Haeberlin and son in law; Bob Mitchell.
She is survived by sons; Gage T. Thurman Jr. (Libby), Reed Haeberlin (Dee Dee), daughters; Barbara Thurman Rubsch (G. Steve), Susan Mitchell, Elois Marinelli (Joseph), Leigh Ann Haeberlin, Lauren Stehle (Michael). 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A service to Celebrate Eleanor’s life will be held Saturday, at Noon in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday. Expressions are requested to her church.
