Elizabeth Gordon Grey

Elizabeth Gordon Grey, 89, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at UofL Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1922 to the late Edward Gordon and Katie Price Sanford. She was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church and was the former owner of Treasures Lace and Craft.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn E. Grey; a son, David W. Drosity; a brother, Amos Gordon and a sister, Anna Green.

She is survived by her son, Larry W. Drosity (Diana); four grandchildren, Jeffrey Drosity, Jennifer Mendez, Karrie Busby and Cassie Danner; Sisters, Carol Kustes and Shirley Martin; two brothers, Paul Sanford and Charlie Sanford and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be conducted Friday August 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady-Russman and Sons Funeral Home, 1201 East Oak Street with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday August 18, 2011 from 2-8 at the funeral home.
