She was born to the late Denise and George Beam. John Coleman “Jack” Irwin, her husband of 52 years, and son-in-law Bob Poole preceded her in passing.
Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Bill Beam and sister Lillis “Mandy” Stein; three daughters, Denise Poole, Amanda Watson and Claudia Myers (Kenny); former son-in-law James Watson; two granddaughters, Jaki Watson and Kelley Anderson (Geoff); three grandsons, James Watson III, Timothy McCoy, and Travis McCoy; great grandchildren, Cole, Kayden, Keegan, Brennan, Cullen, Bri, Emma, Dakota, Christopher and Aries. She will be greatly missed by numerous other relatives and friends she had known since childhood.
She was a retired teachers assistant for whom Chenoweth Elementary’s media center was named, she loved gardening, her family and longtime friends Jeannie and Mary.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 12PM-2PM with a celebration of Libby’s life to begin at 2pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven funeral home 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville Kentucky, 40218.
Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, Ky. 40218.
Memorial Contributions can be made to either the Jimmy Stein Foundation in care of Trinity High School or Hosparus of Louisville.
