Elizabeth Johnson

Elizabeth Ann Johnson, 83, passed away Friday, September 12th, 2025. She was born on August 31st, 1942, to William and Dorothy Fries in Louisville, Kentucky. Elizabeth was a faithful member of New Covenant Church of God in Louisville and could often be found reading her bible in her spare time. She was selfless and gave generously to many causes over her years. Elizabeth loved to put together puzzles, work crosswords, but most of all, to spend time with her grandchildren and grand-dogs. She will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Michelle Wood; and her best friend of many years, Dottie Holsclaw.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brian Druck (Jessica) and Lisa Wood (Kenny); granddaughter, Sarah Wood; step-granddaughters, Abby Atkins and Sierra Smith; the father of her children, Edward Druck; and her beloved grand-dogs, Stella and Huckleberry.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations in Elizabeth’s name to be made to Hosparus of Louisville on their website www.hosparushealth.org/donate or to Potter’s House Christian Retreat by way of mail to 10900 Lamb’s Ridge Rd SE, Elizabeth, IN, 47117.

A visitation for Elizabeth Johnson will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, September 19th, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the same location on the same date starting at 2:00 PM.

Elizabeth Johnson will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
