

Elizabeth P. Paris, "Bootsie", 87, of Louisville, passed away in her sleep on the evening of June 12, 2012. She was born August 21, 1924 in Jacobi, Louisiana to the late Joseph and Lelia Lartigue Ventrella. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert M. Paris and a sister, Donnie Ventrella.
To Elizabeth, children and family were her most important treasures. For many years she taught at St. Edward's Catholic School, where she was instrumental in starting the Reading Readiness Program there.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Pate, sons, Robert R. "Randy" Paris and Daniel (Lisa) Paris; sister, Carmen Frank; grandchildren, Sean (Anissa) and Scott (Tara) Pate, Brad Paris; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ethan, Zachary and Blake; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Abby.
The Celebration of Life service for Elizabeth will be on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Friendship Manor Nursing Home for the loving care extended to their mother and to them.
