Elizabeth Reeder Spinks, 93, passed away March 5th in Hemet, California after a brief illness. She grew up in Clinton and Cumberland County, Kentucky and lived in the Kentuckiana area from 1942 until 2016 when she moved to California to be with her daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter. She worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for 26 years and was a charter member of the Clarksville Church of Christ. Above all she loved her family, friends, cooking, baking, and playing bridge.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herman Spinks, parents William Reeder and Vinnie Reeder (née Gibson), and brother James Reeder. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Gina Wingfield (John), grandchildren Amy Boyd (Michael), Andrew Wingfield, and great-granddaughter Bryony Boyd.
Visitation will be Thursday March 22nd from 4-8 pm and Friday March 23rd from 10am – 12pm with memorial beginning at 12pm on Friday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. , Louisville, Ky.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Lung Association, Arbor Hospice of Hemet, CA, and the Temecula Valley Symphony of Temecula, CA.
