Elizabeth Faye Hopper Stephens, 88, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017. She was born Dec. 11, 1929 to the late Arvin and Martha E. Givens Hopper. Fay was a graduate of Atherton High School, and University of Louisville. She was a retired teacher with the Jefferson Co. School System., a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Society, Jefferson Co. retired Teachers, KY retired Teachers, and a long time member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stephens; and sisters, Ragena and Margaret Mae.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie A. Stephens; niece, Gayle Lyle; nephew, Scott Curtis.
Services to celebrate Fay’s life will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at 1:00 pm, in the chapel of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Ave., with private burial at Cave Hill.
