Ellen Mae Ells

The love that mothers hold is deeper and fuller than anything we have ever known. Ellen had this love not only for her loved ones, but for others. Her door was always open for anyone in need. She was funny, sharp, sarcastic, and above all else, filled with love. The world seemingly stops for a moment when someone this precious passes. When it starts to move again, it never orbits the same.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Ells, Sr.; her father, Sylan R. Martin; her mother, Sarah R. Martin; three brothers, Sylvan Martin, Jr., William Martin and Donald Martin; a sister, Wanda Boutaugh; and a son William (Bill Bill) Ells.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Creech (Larry): Karen Ells; and Kimberly Curry (Bobby); nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Ellen will be Tuesday July 8, 2025, at 12:00pm at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. with burial to follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society in her honor.
