

Eloise Jackson was born on September 20, 1948 in Sumner, Georgia to the late James and Josephine Jackson. Jean, as she was known to her family and friends retired from her career as a hotel Executive Housekeeper in 2006. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, St. Matthews Congregation. In accordance with her wishes, she has been cremated.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Brad Couto, her brother Carl Jackson and her special great aunt Willa Dupree. She leaves behind her loving family, one son, Khris Washington ; two daughters Diona Washington of Independence, Missouri and Dana Brown of Louisville; and their father Robert Washington of Maysville, KY. Six grandchildren, Kristin Brown, Tyler Washington, Erik Washington, Brianna Washington, Jordan Brown and Gunner; one great grandson Tyler C. Washington; two sisters Linda Faye (David) Hancock of Trimble, Missouri and Naomi (Larry) Jones of Tifton, Georgia. In addition to her immediate family she is survived by five aunts, Annie Maude Washington and Mae Jackson of Tifton, GA, Betty Mitchell and Ruby Hammock of Newburgh, New York and Ola Pollard of Hartford, Connecticut; two uncles, Tommy Jackson and Moses Jackson of Tifton, Georgia. Mrs. Washington is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers and brothers and sisters in Christ.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1-3pm on Friday, May 4th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Immediately following the gathering will be a service celebrating Jean’s life at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy maybe directed to the National Kidney Foundation, the National Kidney Fund or the Watchtower Society.
