Elsa Alma Miller

Elsa Alma Miller, 85, of Louisville and Sarasota, FL passed away November 25, 2011 in Sarasota. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School, University of Louisville and Spalding University. Elsa had worked at Reynolds Metals and had been Executive Secretary to the Chief of Staff at the Veteran's Administration 1949-1972. Later, she was Librarian for the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

She was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church, American Library Association, Theological Library Association, Kentucky Library Association and American Business Women's Association.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Grace M. Day, Jennie McGee and Robert Miller.

Left to cherish her memory are her nephews and nieces, James Michael Day, Robert McGee III, David McGee, Richard McGee, Vicki Lee Ligon and Jill McGee

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Elsa will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
