Howell, Elsie A. 89, passed away March 14, 2012. Elsie retired after many years of teaching from Jefferson County School Systems. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Maxey” Howell and sister Dorothy Betlejewski. Elsie is survived by her children Julie Doebler (Steven), David Howell (Dorothea) and Kenneth Howell (Maureen), siblings Betty Baerveldt and Harry Baerveldt, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.. A service honoring the life of Elsie will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
