Gibson, Emily Margaret, 95, of Harrodsburg, KY was born May 6, 1923 in Evarts, KY. She passed away December 16, 2018 in Louisville, KY.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Gibson.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronald Gene Gibson (Pat), Virgil Marcus Gibson (Janice), Joe David Gibson (Debbie), and John Wayne Gibson (Jamie); grandchildren, Mikel Gibson, Marcus Gibson, Michelle Sledge (Dave), Joey Gibson, Rebecca Gibson, Contessa Dunn (Justin), and Lyndon; great-grandchildren, Brooke Gibson, Sara Sledge, Ruby Sledge, Mara Gibson, Graham Gibson, Ella Gibson, Kylee Dunn, Sutton Dunn, and Kora Dunn.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel with burial at Louisville Memorial Garden’s West. Visitation will be Friday from 10 am-2 pm at the funeral home.

The family would like to give thanks to the caregivers at Louisville East Nursing Home for their outstanding support and care given to Mrs. Gibson.

Memorial contributions in memory of Emily can be made to Beechland Baptist Church, 4613 Greenwood Road, Louisville, KY.
