Emmett was born on April 8, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the lates’ John Emmett & Hallie Obermiller. He was a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Army. Serving with pride and honor during Vietnam, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal & the Army Commendation Medal (w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters) among others. He was also a member of the Minor Lane Baptist Church.
Emmett is preceded in death by his parents, John Emmett & Hallie Obermiller; wife, Pamela Obermiller; and son, Nicholas Lee Obermiller.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Misty Rene (Brandon) Thomas; step – daughter, Marsha Lynn (Earnest) Freeman; grandsons, Scott Obermiller, Payton Obermiller; step – grandchildren, Wesley Bickel, Adam Freeman, C.J. Burgess, Ethan Freeman; great – grandson, Anthony Freeman; and one brother, Earl Noe.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums.
