“Ermie” Irene White, 85 of Louisville, passed away Monday, October 12th 2015. She was born in Warren Co., KY on April 27th 1930 to Asher and Erma Childress Guess. Irene worked as a homemaker and enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and her needlework. She was a very loving and caring person. Irene was preceded in passing by her husband: James Avery White. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Vonda Steutzenberger, Marita Killen (Steve), and Tracy O’Grady (Paul); her brothers: Asher Guess Jr., Tommy Lee Guess, and Ralph T. Guess; her sisters: Betty Sandlin, Shirley White, Joyce Williams, Nancy Williams, and Linda Davenport; her grandchildren: Daneen Kuchenbrod, Karissa Lewis, Shani Lyons, Sean Awbrey, and Katie O’Grady; also seven great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate Irene’s life will be held Thursday, October 15th at 10am at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Interment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends and family will be received for visitation Wednesday, October 14th at Arch L. Heady & Son from 4-8pm.
