Ernest Rhea Alcorn, 77, of Louisville, KY passed away Friday, February 19, 2016. He was a retired Jefferson County Police Officer, where he served for over thirty three years. He was also a member of the Jefferson County FOP Lodge 14. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Bertha Alcorn, and a sister Pat Martin. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty-eight years Wanda Alcorn, daughters; Tonya Gribbins(Mike), Joye Maddox(Lewis), and Andrea Turley, grandchildren; Amber Mansfield(David), Isaac, Amethyst, and Neary Maddox, great grandchildren; Andrew, Emma, Matthew and Molly Mansfield. Sisters; Sharon Mennillo(Sal), and Sandra Hoffman, and a host of many other family members and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February, 24, 2016 at 2pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son FH, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40219 with visiting to follow until 8pm. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, from 2-8pm at the funeral home.
