Esther Jisoon Kim

Esther Jisoon Kim received the LORD’s call to her eternal home on December 25, 2021 at the age of 60 after a brave battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will honor her by living their lives to the fullest, to the glory of her beloved God.

Esther was a woman of faith who ministered to others through her love. She was family-oriented, sincere in her giving, and passionate in all her actions. She was a skilled pianist who loved to praise the LORD with all her heart, especially serving in the church worship team. Esther self-sacrificially took on the role of being a wife and mother. She spent hours in the kitchen carefully crafting delightful meals to bring the family together through her hobbies of cooking and baking. For over a decade, Esther diligently worked full-time as a controller at Becker Law Office, helping many in the Korean community through her position.

From Seoul, South Korea to California to Louisville, Kentucky, everyone who has met her will fondly remember Esther for her bright and courageous personality. Esther is survived by her faithful husband Gyong Chun and two well-loved children, Joy and David.

A visitation for Esther will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, followed by a funeral service in her honor immediately at 8:00 PM.

김지순 (에스더) 성도는 폐암 가운데서도 선한 싸움을 담대하게 마치고 2021년 12월 25일 주님의 부르심을 받아 사랑하는 가족들이 지켜보는 가운데 영원한 집으로 돌아갔습니다. 남은 가족들은 고인의 뜻을 따라 사랑하는 하나님의 영광을 높이는 삶을 살도록 최선을 다할 것입니다.

김지순 성도는 사랑으로 사람들을 섬기던 믿음의 여인이었습니다. 가족을 사랑하고, 나누어 주기에 힘쓰며, 모든 일에 열정적이었습니다. 또한 아름다운 피아노 연주로 마음을 다해 주님을 찬양했습니다. 희생적으로 가족을 돌보는 엄마와 아내였으며, 맛있는 식사를 정성을 다해 몇 시간씩 만들고, 평소 좋아하던 요리와 베이킹을 통해 가족이 함께 할 수 있도록 했습니다. 10년 넘게 Becker Law Office에서 전임 사무장으로 일했고, 자신의 일을 통해 많은 한인들을 도왔습니다.

서울, 캘리포니아, 루이빌에 이르기까지 고인을 만났던 모든 사람들은 밝고 활기찼던 고인을 기억할 것입니다. 유족으로는 신실한 남편 김경천 집사와 사랑하는 자녀 Joy, David 이 있습니다.
