Ethel V. Harris, 96, of Brownsboro Park Retirement Community in Louisville, passed away January 25, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital. She was born in New York City, New York on December 26, 1916 to the late George and Anna Varza. She was a member of Westport Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Houston.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Floyd L. Harris; six siblings and a son-in-law, C. J. Colby Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Florence Colby; grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Colby, Melissa Pendleton, Michele (Michael) Ellis; great-grandchildren, Harley and Tucker Colby, Jacob and Jessica Pendleton and Matthew and Megan Ellis.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at a later date at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.
