Ethel Joan “Jo” Tischendorf 80, of Louisville, passed away Friday August 1, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 19, 1933 in Henry Co., KY, to the late Moses L. and Rosa E. Chilton Tingle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, siblings; Lenora Willis, Kathleen Norton, Mary Englert, and Thomas Tingle.
She is survived by her son Michael Dale Tischendorf (Lauri); one granddaughter, Brittany Tischendorf; sisters; Jeanie Chilton, and Roberta Waterbury.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, 6500 Saint Bernadette Avenue, Prospect, KY. With interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 pm Monday at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road.
