Ethelyn Palmer Waters, 84 of Louisville passed away November 30, 2015 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born on May 15, 1931 in Nicholson, Georgia to the late Frank and Clara Belle Palmer. She was a championship golfer and a member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a grandson, Evan Waters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank Waters; three children, Becky Jernigan (Mark), Lynn Waters and Frank Waters Jr. (Patti); grandchildren, Marcia Stone (Brandon), Amy Blanchard (Tim), Cara Haycraft (Lee) and Dale Waters; five great-grandchildren, Sydney, Dylan, Abbie, Corbin and Landon; and two sisters, Frances Haggart and Dollie Smith.
A service to celebrate Ethelyn’s life will be conducted Saturday Decemeber 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Hurstbourne Baptist Church, 8800 Shelbyville Road with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 on Friday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road and 10-11 on Saturday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made to Hurstbourne Baptist Church.
