A native of Louisville, she graduated from Valley High School in 1947 and Western Kentucky University in 1952. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Daytona Beach, Florida and at Pleasure Ridge Park High School. She was a lifetime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.
Etta was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Dewey Cash.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Farmer (Bob) of Owensboro and David “Tom” Cash (Julie) of Georgetown, KY; grandchildren, Alan Cash (Nickie) and Amanda Tatum (Josh); and 4 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 Wednesday at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1101 S. 3rd St, followed by private burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Walnut Street Baptist Church Music Ministry.
