Though I have been told she was completely opposite.. I always say her as a quiet but very sweet person. The few times I was at her house was to visit Grandma Gastinger. Mostly I remember being there for Christmas... It just hasn't been the same since we haven't celebrated at her house. So much about I never knew...Never knew she danced! I would have loved to have KNOWN that part of her. I remember saying hello asking how she was each year. Most of my memories of Aunt Evelyn are those I heard Grandma Gastinger telling through the years. 
 She was greatly loved by everyone who knew her. Mary and Georgie, Thanks for sharing your wonderful mother with us all these years! She will be greatly missed.  
The knowledge that our loved ones will be waiting there for us... brings us peace until our time comes to go "home". Love and Prayers will be with you now and through the holidays. Love Deborah Hay-Prather

Mary and Georgie i will miss Aunt Evelyn's smile and all the good times we had at the parties.She was always full of life and happiness.She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.She had a heart of gold and everyone loved her.R.I.P. Evelyn I will miss you and I love you.

We grow apart as we grow older and lose touch with everyone. I am truly sorry to hear that Aunt Evelyn has passed on but the knowledge of where she is now at makes this easier. My love and prayers are with the family.

 Luerline Tipton: "About the first memory I've got, is of my sister, Evelyn. They put long cotton stockings on me and a coat and sent me off to school. They didn't believe in putting long pants on girls back then. One day it was so cold that I cried, so the next day Evelyn told Momma: 'It's too cold for Luerline to go to school'. I cried because I wanted to go to school. Mama bundled me up and Evelyn put me on her back and took me to school.  I didn't miss a day of school into the 4th grade. I didn't think the school could run without me. Then my Daddy died and Mama kept me out of school a week. I found out then that they didn't miss me. So I missed school after that."

I am loving the picture of the hot red head!  This is an aunt that I didn't know unfortunately.  I am pretty sure we would have danced together!  Wow, 91 years old is amazing.  The Gastinger genes are good stock.  I never spent enough time with Aunt Evelyn but the time I did have with her, we connected.  I will miss her sparkly eyes and her beautiful smile.  RIP my auntie.  Luv you.
