

She was a retired executive secretary for Ford Motor Company - KY Truck Plant, and had been secretary of the Ford retirees group for many years. She was an awesome seamstress, loved to travel and dance, country music, but her favorite was Lawrence Welk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris George and Zella Belle Hay Gastinger; brother Chris Gastinger and five nephews.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Mary (Bill) Puckett and Georgia (Terry) Goodin; siblings, Dorothy Jones, Luerline Tipton, Alberta (Billy) Keith, Zella Durham and James W. (Glennie) Gastinger; grandchildren, David (Tina) Payne, Cristie (Mark) Brown, Mike Puckett, Cindy (Monte) Taylor, Terry Goodin, Jr., and Karen (Scott) Woodward; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joyce McKay and Vicki and Steve Paul.
Evelyn's Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday after 10 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
