Evelyn L. Parris, 84 , of Louisville passed on June 3, 2011 at her residence. She was a Registered Nurse , retiring from St Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital. Evelyn was a 1947 graduate of the old Norton Memorial School of Nursing and was Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006, Manning C. Parris. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Steven Parris (Beverly), Sharon Gay (Cole), Stuart Parris (Diane), Sandra Cullinan (Brian); seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
A service to honor the life of Evelyn will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village. Interment will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to American Cancer Society or Hosparus.
