Forry “Richard” Eugene Engle, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Audubon Hospital. He was born June 30, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Gene and Mary Engle. Rich was a faithful member of Radiant Life Church of God and owner of J&R Outboard. He served in the military for 40 years with the Air National Guard as a Senior Master Sergeant and was a Kentucky Colonel. He retired after 37 years with Philip Morris as the supervisor / instructor in training.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Engle. He was adored by his children, Sheri Inclan (Paul), Carla Kristiansen and Doug Engle, his grandchildren: Kristina, Nicholas (Aly), Christopher (Sarai), Brandon (Megan), Cory, Courtney and Douglas, 3 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his sister, Viki Kaestner and loving dog, Missy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Miki Engle.
A celebration of life will be held 2pm, Monday, June 13, 2016 in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 pm and again Monday from 12-2 at the funeral home.
