She was a self-employed housekeeper. Mrs. Barksdale was a member of the Lighthouse House of Prayer and attended Evangel.
She is survived by her husband, Don Barksdale; a son, Kenneth Embry; two daughters, Kathy Carnes (Chris) and Tammy Embry; five grandchildren, Brandon Milam, Tailor Carnes, Jonathan Carnes, Shawn Carnes and Ava Embry; a great-grandson, Zayne Milam; two step-daughters, Tina Bryant (Mike) and Shellie Harmon (Brad); and four step-grandchildren, Katie Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Alyssa Jenkins, Ty Jenkins and Bella Harmon.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 7pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday from noon until the time of service.
